                 Quite Literally, The Beatles

                      "Across The Universe"

On February 4, 2008 at 7:00pm, NASA will beam The Beatles song "Across The Universe" into deep space in an unprecedented long distance dedication by the U.S. agency.

Monday (4th.) marks the 40th. anniversary of the day the song was recorded. It also marks the 50th. anniversary of NASA's founding and the inception of The Beatles.

The transmission is aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light years away from Earth, and traveling at a speed of 186,000 miles per second.

Said former Beatle Paul McCartney, "Well done, NASA. Send my love to the aliens!".

Yoko Ono, John Lennon's widow commented on the song that is credited to Lennon/McCartney, but was actually written by John, "I see that this is the beginning of a new age in which we will communicate with billions of planets across the universe."

Meet The Beatlesfans

Welcome to the Beatlefans Book/the Beatlefans Documentary-a project creating a book, as well soliciting TV networks or film production companies to do a film, about Beatlefans in 2008. Individuals joining our group will receive first notice that the book and/or a film company has accepted our film idea. We are making a request for your precious Beatlefan story. Each of our stories are special so do not underestimate the value of your special history as a Beatlefan. It will be a documentary featuring Beatlefans, young & old, their lives as Beatlefans, their memories, as well as their memorabilia. What was it like growing up loving the Beatles, what people did for you because they knew you loved the Beatles, what did your parents think, your brother/sister think. What did your schoolmates think? How old were you when you became aware of your feelings for the Beatles? What did you do before & after the Beatles or John, Paul, George or Ringo's concerts if you went? Please pass this information to a network representative or film production company if you know one as a contact. This documentary must become a reality before these precious stories in the lives of Beatlefans are lost in time forever. We are also writing a book, based on fans true stories (if you authorize it) If you would like to share your stories as a Beatlefan, join our group & post it here or send your Beatlefan story off site to RedRoseSpdwy@aol.com Rick Linville

                           "Yesterday"

The Beatles Once Upon A Time

            Astrid Kirchherr & Max Scheler

Before their emergence as the muiscal pioneers who took the

world by storm, the Beatleshoned their craft in Hamburg, playing

marathon sessions at the Kaiserkeller in 1960.

It was also at the Kaiserkeller that they met Astrid Kirchherr, a budding

photographer who became close friends with the band.

Astrid and Max Scheler visited the Beatles as they were about to film their first

movie, "A Hard Day's Night". The result of that visit is a remarkable collection

of photographs that chronicle the Beatles  in London during the making of the film and

their success on their hometown of Liverpool.

The Vendome Press is proud to present these photographs in the new book,

Yesterday: The Beatles Once Upon A Time

The 176 pages and 220 duotone photographs are now available in a

Beautiful hardcover book selling for $27.50

"I am fortunate to have received this book and find it a fascinating read as well as being able to view the wonderful photography! A must for Beatles fans!!" - 'Mo'

RINGO STARR

RINGO STARR'S EMI CATALOG ALBUMS TO DEBUT DIGITALLY ON AUGUST 28

STARR’S BEST SOLO TRACKS COLLECTED FOR NEW CAREER-SPANNING CAPITOL/EMI COLLECTION, PHOTOGRAPH: THE VERY BEST OF RINGO STARR, TO BE RELEASED PHYSICALLY AND DIGITALLY ON AUGUST 28

Starr’s First-Ever Career-Spanning Hits Collection Presents His Best Solo Tracks In CD, Collector’s Edition CD/DVD and Digital Packages

Hollywood, California – June 18, 2007 – Since he first began his career in the 1960s with The Beatles, Ringo Starr has been one of the world's brightest musical luminaries.  On August 28, Starr’s four EMI Music catalog albums, Sentimental Journey (1970), Beaucoups Of Blues (1970), the platinum-certified Ringo (1973) and gold-certified Goodnight Vienna (1974) will make their global digital release debuts across all of the world’s major digital sales providers. On the same date, six Ringo Starr ringtones will also debut, and Capitol/EMI Music Catalog Marketing will release the first-ever career and label-spanning collection of Starr’s best solo recordings, PHOTOGRAPH: The Very Best Of Ringo Starr.

Starr’s EMI catalog will be available in digital form for the first time on a global basis. Fans will be able to purchase Starr's EMI catalog works from all of EMI's digital distribution partners, and the titles will also be part of EMI's premium download offering (free of digital rights management and in a higher-quality bit rate) from participating retailers.

To be released physically in CD and Collector’s Edition CD/DVD packages and digitally, PHOTOGRAPH: The Very Best Of Ringo Starr presents 20 standout Starr tracks, including seven Top 10 Pop hits, released between 1970 and 2005 with Capitol, Atlantic, Mercury, Boardwalk, Private Music and Koch.  The Collector’s Edition adds seven never before released film and video clips on DVD, including original promotional films for “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Sentimental Journey,” “Back Off Boogaloo,” among others, and the music video for “Act Naturally” (with Buck Owens).

The world has known and loved Ringo Starr since he was a Beatle, and it is his unique talent and his love of creating and playing music that continues to captivate fans around the world, and which shines through in every one of his songs.  "Ultimately, what's most impressive about Ringo Starr isn't what he's been, but rather who he is,” said Rolling Stone magazine Contributing Editor David Wild. “The man's great heart and soul, his wit and wisdom."  A liner notes essay by Wild is complemented by a selection of classic Starr photos in PHOTOGRAPH: The Very Best Of Ringo Starr’s 12-page booklets. The CD will be released in a jewelcase, while the Collector’s Edition will be presented in a deluxe fold-out digipak package.

PHOTOGRAPH: The Very Best Of Ringo Starr celebrates the legacy of this iconic and universally loved artist.  Covering the full scope of Starr's solo career, the new collection’s seven Top 10 Pop hits include "It Don't Come Easy," "Photograph," “Oh My My,“ “Snookeroo,” “Back Off Boogaloo,” “Only You (And You Alone),” and his playful and now tongue-in-cheek "No-No Song."  Also included are "Act Naturally” (with Buck Owens), “You’re Sixteen (You’re Beautiful and You’re Mine),” and the critically acclaimed "Weight of the World" and "Fading In and Fading Out."
